Percent of Households that Have a Pet

I was just playing with some data before I knock off for Christmas. Sourced from the American Veterinary Association, here are maps of the percentage of households that have certain types of pets.

Any Pets

Dogs

Looks like the Deep South here. rules for dog ownership.

Cats

I don’t know what my expectations were beforehand, but I know I didn’t expect Maine and Vermont to be up there.
