New EveryCat Health Foundation Grant Cycle Fuels Breakthroughs in Feline Health

The EveryCat Health Foundation, one of the world’s leading funders of feline medical research, has announced its 2026 Spring Grant Cycle, opening September 29, 2025, with proposals due by January 9, 2026. Each year, EveryCat invests up to $50,000 per project, supporting research that directly improves the health, longevity, and well-being of cats worldwide.

Over the years, the foundation has funded more than $11 million in innovative feline research, advancing veterinary science in critical areas such as cancer treatment, infectious disease, aging, and chronic conditions. In 2024 alone, EveryCat supported 20 research projects and, for the first time in its history, funded over $1 million in cat-specific studies.

Recent projects demonstrate the breadth of the foundation’s impact. Studies are exploring genetic cures for FIV, machine learning tools for diagnosing feline infectious peritonitis (FIP), and precision-medicine approaches to feline cancer. Other grants are addressing real-world issues, such as aging biomarkers, chronic kidney disease, intestinal health, and pain management for shelter cats.

For veterinarians, researchers, and cat advocates, EveryCat’s grants represent more than funding—they’re a lifeline for advancing treatments that can extend and improve the lives of our feline companions. Each funded project moves the field closer to early diagnostics, effective therapies, and better quality of life for cats everywhere.

The Spring 2026 awards will be announced in May 2026. To apply or learn more, visit the EveryCat Health Foundation Grants page and sign up for grant updates.
